Catherine Dexter and Susan Moffet represent adoptive parents looking to adopt, birth parents seeking the right home for their child, and step-parents, as well as other adoption situations. Sharing over 15 years as adoption law partners, Catherine Dexter and Susan Moffet know the legal and practical issues of adoption. We are charter members of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys and active in adoption related issues with the Oregon State Bar and the Oregon Legislature. About the Attorneys . . . .

Catherine Dexter has practiced adoption law since 1983. She graduated from Michigan State University and received her Juris Doctor from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College. She is a member of the Oregon State Bar and the Federal District Bar. She is a charter member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys, and has served on the Standing Committee on Adoption for the Family Law Section. Catherine is married, has three daughters, three cats, a dog and a gecko.

Susan Moffet has practiced adoption law since 1987. She graduated from Portland State University and received her Juris Doctor from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College. She is a member of the Oregon State Bar and has served on the Standing Committee of Adoption for the Family Law Section. She is a charter member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys, and has twice served on the organization�s Board of Trustees. Susan is married, has a daughter (who is also an attorney!), and two cats.
